Our Story
Mission Control was founded in 2011 by Ali Viles, a veteran RF engineer with over 25 years of experience coordinating wireless systems for the world's biggest touring acts. What started as colleagues asking for a little expert advice has grown into the industry's leading specialist RF coordination and licensing service operating from our office in Somerset, UK with a small, dedicated team offering round-the-clock support to leading industry professionals.
The music industry's shift to complex wireless systems has created a growing need for specialised RF expertise. RF regulations vary dramatically by country, local interference changes venue by venue, and improperly coordinated systems can shut down shows or incur regulatory fines.
Ali's touring experience revealed that successful RF planning requires more than just the right software - it demands deep technical understanding, a global knowledge of laws and regulations, ongoing relationships with licensing authorities, and real-world problem-solving skills honed under the pressure of live performance.
Mission Control was created to meet this need for dedicated RF specialisation. We focus exclusively on radio frequency coordination and licensing, allowing us to develop deep expertise in this complex field.
